I’ve become a character in a book, a life already dead. I consider myself a fairly resilient reader, with wide-ranging and exploratory tastes.
So, much as I respect all the people I know who rated this book highly, I’m leaving it as unfinished. Last time I was there, a couple of years ago, I determined that I would read this before I went back there.

I demand nothing more from myself than to be a spectator of life. Unfortunately, I don’t actually like it that much. I doubt I will remember much because there basically is no structured story which wou I enjoyed some elements of the poetry but overall it was not as cohesive as I would have liked.
