I think where we differ is that I know that these products can sound good, and I also know they db sound bad though I think some part of that is due to misuse.

Or, it might simply be because these things sound bad my supposition. Talking about NR issues with regards to that model is irrelevant. It’s mmanual if it’s expanding the mid and hi freqs, and pushing the low end down.
