I wanted just a little more. These davd are primarily about human beings, and their flaws and foibles. An enjoyable fantasy romp. Bloodied and harried to a long abandoned city they discover unexpected allies and there they make a final stand in the face of impossible odds.
But she is not alone. The novel tells the story of three ageing heroes — NogustaKebra and Bison — and their quest to protect the unborn king of the Drenai from the demonic forces of the Krayakin. Just finished this at the recommendation of a friend. WW demonstrates Gemmell’s prowess as a writer. A warrors, very close second for me would be the first two books of the Rigante. Read it Forward Read it first. He was truly a gifted writer.
