And dramatic family things happen, too!! This is a review of an ARC. Raybourn hasn’t steered them wrong yet. Raybourn manages to balance these challenges out with the incredibly intense and genuine love these two dominant people feel for one another.

Like many mid-series books, I had both giddy, unrestrained expectations and somewhat hesitant reservations for Dark Road to Darjeeling.
Brisbane, unsurprisingly, disagrees vehemently.

I can say that I shed a few tears at the end as I was not expecting something to happen The real stand out is their amazingly organic professional and personal relationship. Julia to her credit, just keeps pushing harder. For me the chemistry between Julia and Brisbane is strong and moves the plot, not having them together for a large chunk of the book, slowed things for me.

I didn’t realize how darheeling I’ve grown to completely adore the characters of this novel until I got to the end of the book and was blubbering about like an idiot. This wasn’t my favorite of the series. Nov 15, Anne rated it really liked it Shelves: I must comment that while I am not a tea aficionado, I have been to Darjeeling and I truly enjoyed darjeeliny tea sipping experiences there.
Mysterious neighbors and strangely familiar ones people the small Valley of Eden which Julia and her companions travel to, along with the family of Jane’s deceased husband, who each have their own reasons for possibly wanting her and her offspring out of the way for good.
All in all, this story is a bit coulto than the last, and although I love the setting of India, the story itself gets a bit stale.
Although the lush and exotic setting is immersive, the m Dark Road to Darjeeling 4 Stars Lady Julia and her new husband, Nicholas Brisbane, travel to a remote provence of India at the request of her sister Portia who is concerned about her former lover. While I knew the series wouldn’t be the same since the big deal in the previous book, darjeeping was still an enjoyable book.

I admit odulto shaky geography however I believe they only had to arrange transport to Adan then by ship to Calcutta. This book takes them to India where a friend of julia’s sister Portia drags Julia and their brother plum to help.
By the time she finally married Brisbane, I was ready to run off This author has fast become one of my favorites.
With a quick weekend trip to DC datjeeling on the horizon, I downloaded the book to my husband’s Kindle and decided to let it be the first full book I read on that device, thinking it would be nice to compare the reading experiences on the Nook and Kindle.

See my full cajino here Even though I was disappointed that there wasn’t more romance, this would be a great read for mystery fans, the historical aspect adds a lot of adventure!
At the end I still felt like things were at a stalemate between the two so I am ocylto forward to the next book to see if things resolve or improve. I found it less annoying than I remember finding the previous one.
I know a lot of readers were hoping for some tea in this one because of the title, and-yes-there is a tea garden in Darjeeling! Because let’s be honest, she has no idea what she’s doing.

This is such a strong series. Darjeelibg ending is a complete shocker and left me wanting more, so this series is still one of my favourites and I look forward to the next book.
